The Last Day Lily by Stephen Craig Rowe

The last day lily
stands alone
as a reminder of the others
that filled a part
of the yard
with color
and light
for nearly
two weeks
of rain, winds,
heat,
and
photographs.
The last
lily
is still
in bloom
and
a miracle
to
behold
As ever be well,
Stephen Craig Rowe

Well here I am. I found you fine.. I will add you onto my list and visit you here too.It is so sad when we see flowers die and leave us.. at least with some we know they will come around again.. it gives us hope. Take care : )

What a great photo! Love your art work and will drop by more often, now that I know you're here.

Your photograph and your poetry have travelled well, not quite as fragile as the day lily. It is beautiful.

I have noticed the flowers around town have been beautiful here. Helped me miss my flowers less. Lovely picture and words.
